Jazz of the Week: Here's That Rainy Day

Appropriate for what the weather's been like lately.

Just some more Bill Evans to talk about today. This is a track from Evans's album Alone, in which all we hear is just Evans, his piano, and his ability.

The album was remastered and re-released under the same label, Verve Records, decades after its initial release in 1968. 

Not much to talk about theoretically here; its masterful improvisation is something only an elitist of the instrument can analyze. One thing's for sure: This is jazz in its rawest form.
